From the greens of the Island's National Park, to the blues of the surrounding Whitsunday waters, Brampton is a perfect haven for couples in search of a romantic hideaway with all the trimmings.
Location
Located at the base of the world-renowned Whitsunday Island Passage, Brampton Island Resort is 32 kilometres northeast of Mackay and 50 kilometres south of Hamilton Island. This large and beautiful National Park Island is surrounded by sparkling azure waters, twelve golden sandy beaches, coral gardens and an array of walking and jogging tracks.
Accommodation is available in several choices, while some are set just a short distance away from the main beach but close to all resort facilities. The rooms have a garden view outlook, each with private balcony or outdoor area overlooking native gardens.
Restaurant
The restaurant serves a sensational seafood buffet and taste-tempting beach barbeques are held regularly. This relaxing lounge area overlooks the beautiful Whitsunday passage and showcases photos depicting Brampton Island's colourful history. A great place to chill-out and enjoy some peace and quiet.
General
Recreational facilities include swimming pools, soccer, gymnasium, social tennis and many more. During leisure, guests can also explore the beautiful island and its surroundings.
Voyages Brampton Island is located 32 km north-east of Mackay. Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Mackay daily, with Virgin Blue and Qantas. Alternatively, fly direct to Hamilton Island with Jetstar and transfer to Brampton Island on a scenic flight.
Air Transfer
Australasian Jet operate flights daily from Mackay to Voyages Brampton Island and from Hamilton Island to Voyages Brampton Island. The check-in desk is next to the Brampton Launch desk at the main airport at Mackay - adjacent to the Virgin Blue baggage carousel.
Boat Transfer
A courtesy coach departs Mackay Airport at 11.00am to Mackay Marina. The boat transfer departs Mackay Marina at 11.30am and arrives at Brampton Island at 12.45pm. The return trip from Brampton Island departs at 1.15pm and arrives at Mackay Airport (via the courtesy coach) at 3.00pm. Bookings are made through Voyages.
Please note: The boat transfer service operates daily except for Christmas Day.
