"This is a unique property--we enjoyed it but wished we had brought some grocery and beverage items from the city. Each unit has a full kitchen and it would have been nice not to have to go to the clubhouse for full meals.
We would definitely stay again--only in the spring or summer." - Karen Willis Homer Willis

"The service was excellent, with someone always able to provide assistance or answer any queries. The rooms are well designed offering privacy yet spaciousness. The setting in the valley is ideal and difficult to replicate. The access to the Wall is fantastic, allowing a private and secluded view of the range. (We went to the Wall just off the Expressway and found it to be full of pushy, over-eager and rude people - many tourists on a tight timetable.) Definitely recommend The Commune by the Great Wall to everyone. Only way to see the Wall!" - Liz Bodey
