"As far as service, facilities, english speaking staff, amenities and overal awe you get just walking around the place, this hotel exells beyond Grand Park Hotel (formerly Harbour Plaza) in Kunming. Grand Park still has the best buffet for lunch and dinner. Its only a 10 minute walk or a short cab ride around the beatiful lake.
The staff treated us with great care, and gave us flowers and a bowl of fruit when they found out it was our anniversary. They thought of so many details including writing down the taxi plate on a slip and handing it to us as we left the hotel (in case anything were to be accidentally left in the cab).
The room we stayed in (Bus Lux) was incredible. It had an amazing view of the lake. The bed was so comfortable you can't imagine for China. Two tv's, two showers, tropical rain shower head and there was even a speaker for the tv and dvd system hooked up into the bathroom so you could listen to BBC or CNN while taking a bath." - Anonymous |

"The staff were generally delightful, English not so good and some of the information they supplied regarding local area was not so good, BUT probably the best location and the best hotel in the city. The food in the restaurant (only western was open late) was average, they got the order wrong and it was horrendously expensive. Breakfast was excellent. Stayhere- its worth the frustrations !
