For conference groups escaping the confines of the big city, the Mercure Hotel Geelong offers a well-appointed function centre that can accommodate more than 400 delegates theatre style and 330 people in banquet style. Health conscious guests can make use of the well-equipped gymnasium, which is perfect for an energetic workout and then soothe those tired muscles in the sauna or relax in the spa.
Entering Geelong from the Princes Highway, take the city turn-off onto Mercer Street, then at the large roundabout, turn right into Gheringhap Street and the Mercure Hotel is located only four blocks up on the left-hand side.

"A pleasant, reasonably-priced hotel in downtown Geelong. Its relatively small size makes it quiet and "homely." We stayed in a family room (two adults, two children) which was a very economic proposition. The broadband facility in the room is good and reasonably priced. The wireless Internet facility in the ground floor lobby lounge is expensive but this is Telstra's pricing, not the hotel's. The reception desk is sometimes short staffed with staff having to deal with customers and phone calls at the same time. However, staff are generally very helpful. The food and service are good.
