The Rembrandt Centrum Hotel is situated in the heart of Amsterdam between the Herengracht and the Singel, near Dam square. The hotel is set in 17th and 19th Century monumental buildings right on the city's most prestigious canals. Rembrandt Centrum Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the central station, while the famous shopping streets Kalverstraat and Nieuwendijk are few minutes away.
Rooms
The hotel has 111 comfortable guestrooms with some facing the canal. The rooms are well equipped and immaculately furnished catering to the details that one looks for.

General

From Schiphol Airport
-Shuttle bus, duration 35-40 min. Price is EUR 11 per person. There is no stop at the hotel, but ask the driver if he can stop at the corner of Herengracht and Raadhuisstraat. This is only 3 minutes walking to the hotel.
-Taxi to the hotel (about EUR 35) duration 20 minutes.
-Train to Central Station Amsterdam, 12-20 minutes. This train leaves every 6-10 minutes. Ticket EUR 3,10.
From Central Railway Station
-Tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17, tram stop Dam. You are now at the back of Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Centre. Just walk around the corner. You are now on the Raadhuisstraat, behind you is the Royal Palace. Walk straight ahead until the Herengracht. Go to the left (cross the street) and stay at this side of the canal. After the crossing street Gasthuismolensteeg you will find our hotel with the blue sunshide. It's only a 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
-Taxi from Central Station (about EUR 9).

"Having read some of the other comments we thought the room may be a bit small but found it was fine. Really nice, clean hotel in the centre of Amsterdam at a very good price comparatively. Only problem was, as previous users have said, no tea/coffee facilities in the room, pay to view TV if you wanted it, and they tried to charge us 5% city tax when the website assures all taxes included. However, we rang the number on the booking form and were told all taxes were included so told the hotel we were not paying it!! They were fine and spoke to [your website]themselves. All in all, a very nice stay but do not take a taxi from the airport unless you agree a price first!!! We were totally and utterly ripped off.
