"We are a couple in our mid 60's and very independant travellers. The position of the hotel was great. It was a very impressive room, We found plentiful hot water and good lights for reading. The room was clean but not exceptionally so. The bed comfortable but approaching the stage where there is a hollow in the middle. . We both found the pillows were the most uncomfortable that we have struck in many years of travelling. We had read the reviews and did not try the restaurants but ate regularly in a Chinese hotel 1/2 block away, which was cheap and delicious. We did use the coffee shop a couple of times and found the prices comparable to the tourist prices on the Bund. The staff were very helpful When we return we would like a better bed and pillows.
