Imperial Las Perlas Hotel Cancun 
"We stayed here for a week in March 2008, and unfortunately we forgot about Spring Break and there were many students there and it was really loud, even at 4am! We were sleeping with the A/C on. The food was typical mexican and excellent. Not a lot of choices but enough to get full. The desserts were mostly fruits. There was only 1 restaurant on the beach and really no place to get dressed fancy. The beach had no umbrellas or palm trees, as shown in the pictures, probably lost in the last storm. The ocean was like a lake, without any waves and the water had tons of algae. Then Hotel was really close to the Downtown area and not too far away from the Clubs, Shopping Centers and other Places of interest. We had a large ocean-view room on the 4th floor with a fridge, a mini-kitchen, a vanity area and a large bath w/a huge shower. There are no elevators here! In the end we were happy but this is definitely not a luxurious place but a 3 Start Hotel!" - Catalina Schreader
