"This is the second time we have stayed at the Magnificent Plaza in two years. The main reason for staying there is the convenient location, an easy walk to the old city, yuyuan and huahuai districts. Local transport is fine as XiZang road is serviced by quite a few bus routes. The breakfast is OK and the staff are generally friendly. When we booked we had requested a room facing east but this wasn't acknowledged when we checked in. As we were staying more than a few days, we asked to change sides to see the different views. The hotel obliged, but we did have to actively engage various staff on a number of occasions to make the change. There didn't appear to be a coordinated message process between staff at the front desk, but who knows." - Anonymous |
