The Bendigo Welcome Stranger Motel has colonial style suites surrounding one of Bendigo's Historical Homes, situated in the heart of the Goldfields. Each suite is named after a local gold mine which has operated in the Bendigo area over the years.
We are situated 2.8km south of the city centre on McKenzie St West just off the Calder Highway, turn right at the 5th set of traffic signals south of the fountain.

A suggestion to the manager that maybe it could be more economical to have the heaters on some time before the expected arrival of guests as then the room would not be chilly, the heater could operate at a lower and possibly more economic setting and guests would not be using the highest, most expensive setting for a long period to warm up." - Margaret Kobier
