Cape Tribulation is located between two World Heritage areas: The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree National Park, approximately 140km north of Cairns (2½ hours drive), and 75km south of Cooktown. Domestic and International visitors can fly direct to Cairns, where a number of transfer options to Cape Tribulation are available.
Coach Transfers Coach transfers are available between Cairns and Cape Tribulation daily. We recommend "SunPalm Transport" who offer daily transfers to and from Cairns airport, they also provide a similar service from Port Douglas. Transfer time is approximately two and half to three hours each way.
Self Drive You can also organise to hire a car or drive your own and enjoy the magnificent scenery at your leisure. Once you arrive at the Daintree River the ferry, operating between 6am to midnight, will take you across to Cape Tribulation.
