The Macquarie Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of the city, offering a unique pub stay experience. The hotel has completely been remodelled with a new micro-brewery opened in December 2004.

"This is a typical Australian "pub" with accommodation above. The rooms are basic a bit spartan and of odd sizes. The elevator is often out of service and requires a special key in order to operate it which is very inconvenient. The hotel is conveniently located and represents reasonable value at the budget end of the market. " - Andrew Smith

"This hotel was ok if you just wanted a very basic place to stay for a couple of nights. The h otel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast of cereal and toast was fine. The staircases, corridors etc were a bit scruffy, but the bed was clean and comfortable. Definitely not a place to stay if you want any sort of luxury!
